As with previous years, the National Skills Competition grand final will also take place in dedicated areas on the exhibition floor. The finale will see top scorers from this years’ regional heats battle it out at the final testing stage for the title of Gold Medal Winner.

The National Skills Competition has been created to develop excitement and passion for learning in young people in the automotive sector. Designed by industry experts, the competition equips apprentices and students with world-class skills. Ultimately by creating a friendly competitive platform, the competition enables the upskilling of young people that in turn benefits the wider industries involved.

This is a national competition for students and apprentices studying towards their Level 3 Qualification in Automotive Technology, Automotive Body repair, Automotive Refinishing and Heavy Vehicle Engineering.

National qualifying heats for the Competition have taken place during March, April and May 2019, and finalists have now been announced for the finals in November. Click here to see the finalists.

Competition streams include; Auto Refinishing, Auto Technology, Heavy Vehicle Technology and Auto Body Repair.

Finalists involved in the Automotive Technology segment will be using Autologic diagnostic equipment as part of their testing.

Prior to the competition starting, competitors will be provided with hands-on training in the use of their tools by an Autologic OEM-trained master technician – essential knowledge that can be utilised not only during the competition, but throughout their future in the industry.
Autologic wish all competitors in the finals the very best of luck.

Visitors are encouraged to come and see the finals in action during the exhibition.
