How to Program Control Modules (units) on Porsche 996 vehicles

Programming Porsche Control Modules using Autologic DrivePRO

 

This article and video show a Porsche 996 DME being programmed, other vehicles and control modules will follow a similar procedure.

Be sure the vehicle being programmed is connected to a vehicle power supply designed for programming Porsche vehicles

You will need immobilizer codes for the vehicle you are going to program

1 Begin by identifying the vehicle you are working on

2 Select DRIVE

3 Select DME

4 Select immobilizer code programming

5 Select EDIT existing DME programming code for this module

6 Enter the DME programming code

7 Select OK

8 Select EDIT existing immobiliser code for this module

9 Enter the immobiliser code

10 Select OK

11 Select EDIT new DME programming code for this module

12 Enter the DME programming code

13 Select OK

14 Select EDIT new immobiliser code for this module

15 Enter the immobiliser code

16 Select OK

17 Select PROGRAM

18 Read and understand the message. Confirm the all entered codes are correct

19 Select CONTINUE

20 Select OK

21 Select BACK

22 Select existing module programming

23 Confirm the date is correct, edit if necessary, if correct select continue

24 Select the arrow to continue

25 Locate the DME system the vehicle you are working is equipped with

26 Select PROGRAM

27 Read and understand the warning. Select CONTINUE

28 Programming will begin. Please wait while all blocks are programmed

29 Select OK

30 Select OK

31 Check for stored fault codes, clear if necessary
