Audi & VW Direct Shift Gearbox Adaptation procedure using Autologic DrivePRO

See the best way to perform a DSG Adaptation on Audi & VW models

In this video you will see the procedure for adapting a Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) on Audi and VW vehicles using the DrivePRO scan tool from Autologic. Once complete with the scan tool driven prompts, follow the test drive procedure as described onscreen.

 

Direct Shift Gearbox Adaptation

 

After repair or replacement of a DSG mechatronic unit, reset basic codes and settings as follows:

- Set shift lever to PARK.

- Engage the parking brake.

- Remain in the vehicle and keep your foot on the brake pedal at all times during this procedure.

- Start the engine and let it idle for at least one minute.

Engaged Calibration:

- Select Manual Functions.

- Select Basic Settings.

- Set Adaptation to Channel 61.

- Toggle Basic Settings.

- Wait for the transmission to stop making noise.

Synch Point Measurement:

- Select Manual Functions.

- Select Basic Settings.

- Set Adaptation to Channel 60.

- Toggle Basic Settings.

- Wait for the transmission to stop making noise.

Clutch Adaptation, software versions lower than 0800 (find software version in Module Information):

- Select Manual Functions.

- Select Basic Settings.

- Set Adaptation to Channel 62.

- Toggle Basic Settings.

- Wait for the transmission to stop making noise.

Clutch Adaptation, software versions higher than 0800 (find software version in Module Information):

- Select Manual Functions.

- Select Basic Settings.

- Set Adaptation to Channel 67.

- Toggle Basic Settings.

- Wait for the transmission to stop making noise.

Note that some vehicles may have these procedures under Control Unit Functions. If necessary, select Adapt Gearbox. Follow on-screen prompts.

When the procedure is completed, clear fault codes and road test the vehicle.
